ChatGPT for PowerPoint is now generally available globally, offering a sidebar add-in for creating and revising presentations, asking questions about decks, and using Skills. It supports Free through Enterprise users, with slides remaining editable. Additionally, GPT-5.5 Instant Mini is rolling out as an upgraded fallback model in ChatGPT, replacing GPT-5.3 Instant Mini. This new model provides enhanced intent tracking, better tone calibration, avoids repetitive responses, and delivers stronger personalization with fewer factual issues when users reach rate limits.

ChatGPT for PowerPoint is now generally available globally. From a sidebar in Microsoft PowerPoint, you can create new slides and decks, revise existing presentations, ask questions about a deck’s story and structure, and use Skills and apps to work with repeatable workflows and connected sources. Slides remain editable in PowerPoint, although advanced edits and template matching may still require review. The add-in is available to Free, Go, Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, ChatGPT Edu, and K-12 users, subject to plan limits and workspace settings. GPT-5.5 Instant Mini in ChatGPT
We’re rolling out GPT-5.5 Instant Mini in ChatGPT. It replaces GPT-5.3 Instant Mini as the fallback model users reach after hitting their GPT-5.5 Instant or Auto rate limits. Because it serves as a fallback, it won’t appear in the model picker. This update does not affect the API or Codex. Compared with GPT-5.3 Instant Mini, GPT-5.5 Instant Mini better tracks evolving user intent, calibrates tone, and avoids repetitive or overly structured responses. Testing also showed stronger personalization and fewer factual issues.
