What is AI Drops?+
AI Drops is a family of iOS apps for developers who use AI tools every day. Three release trackers each watch one tool, with push notifications and a browsable changelog: Claude Drops for Claude Code, Open Drops for OpenAI (ChatGPT, the API, and Codex), and Cursor Drops for Cursor. Two companion apps round out the family: /cards for mastering Claude Code slash commands and Claude Prep for the Claude certification exam.
Which apps are part of AI Drops?+
Five apps: Claude Drops (Claude Code releases), Open Drops (OpenAI / ChatGPT / Codex releases), Cursor Drops (Cursor releases), /cards (Claude Code slash-command flashcards), and Claude Prep (prep for the Claude Certified Architect, Foundations exam). The three trackers share the same design and feature set, so picking up a second one feels instantly familiar.
Is AI Drops free?+
The three release trackers are free to download, and browsing the full changelog in each is free. A one-time Pro unlock adds push notifications, AI summaries, widgets, and stats with export. /cards is free with a daily practice limit and has its own Pro unlock. Claude Prep is a paid app with a $6.99 per year subscription.
Is AI Drops affiliated with Anthropic, OpenAI, or Cursor?+
No. AI Drops is an independent project. It tracks and summarizes public release notes and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic, OpenAI, or Cursor.
How do notifications work?+
Choose instant alerts the moment a new version ships, or a single scheduled daily digest. You only hear from each app when the tool it tracks actually releases something new, typically a few times per week. Notifications are part of each tracker's one-time Pro unlock.
Where does the changelog data come from?+
Each app syncs the official public release sources for its tool (for example Anthropic's GitHub changelog, OpenAI's release notes and API changelog, and Cursor's changelog) and adds short, plain-language summaries so you can scan what changed in seconds.
