A significant change to image generation functionality is the upcoming retirement of the official DALL·E GPT on August 30, 2026. User action includes the downloading of any images desired for retention prior to this date. For continued image creation and editing, the recommended alternative is ChatGPT Images. Importantly, user-created GPTs with image generation capabilities will remain unaffected by this transition.
