This comprehensive release includes a new gpt-image-1 model and two advanced o-series reasoning models (o3, o4-mini) for math, science, coding, and visual tasks. Significant additions are gpt-4.1 models (including mini and nano variants) with improved instruction following, coding, and an expanded 1M token context window, with gpt-4.1 and gpt-4.1-mini available for supervised fine-tuning. Further enhancements include API budget alerts, auto-recharge limits, and the new Codex CLI for code generation. Users of gpt-4.5-preview should note its announced deprecation.
