It is the first tier of a planned certification path that also includes Developer and advanced Architect tracks. Alongside it, Anthropic Academy offers a set of free, self-paced courses with completion certificates. Those two things are often both called “Claude certification,” so it helps to separate them.

The two kinds of Claude certification

Claude Certified Architect (CCA-F)

A proctored, closed-book exam. 60 multiple-choice questions, 120 minutes, scored on a 1000-point scale with 720 to pass. This is a professional credential you can put on a resume or LinkedIn.

Anthropic Academy certificates

Free, self-paced courses (Claude Code in Action, Building with the Claude API, Introduction to MCP, and more) that issue a completion certificate after a final quiz. Great for learning; not a proctored exam.
